Once you go through the Russian border, there is one more formality you have to take care of. Upon your arrival to the destination city, you Russian friend or family member should register your presence at the nearest post office, within a 3-days period, by completing the temporary registration form. If you are staying at a hotel, please make sure the hotel completes the registration.
Please note: The registration should be done in each city you going to visit, for more than 3 days, during your visit to Russia. The fine for leaving Russia in the absence of a temporary registration can be up to $300 Euro.
